This beautifully renovated property sleeps up to 6 guests across 2 bedrooms, 5 beds, and 2 full bathrooms, with high-speed Starlink internet so you can stay connected (or intentionally disconnect). Every room has been designed with genuine hospitality in mind—not just filled with amenities for the sake of it.

Sink into rustic furniture around the gas fireplace, stream your favorites on the smart TV, or settle in at the work station to catch up on emails. A large ceiling fan keeps the air moving, and if the rare Durango storm knocks out wifi, you'll find plenty of DVDs and board games to keep everyone entertained. Convenient laundry closet with large capacity washer, dryer, and auto-dispensing detergent means you can travel light.

Primary Bedroom & Loft: Your Private Retreat
Sleep deeply on a premium king bed with high-quality cotton sheets and duvet cover. This primary suite doesn't feel like a bedroom—it's your personal sanctuary. The attached loft space with couch, throw blankets, and curated books overlooks the living room through a half-wall. Two closets (one with dresser), a 55" smart TV, ceiling fan, and portable AC during warmer months ensure you'll have everything you need to truly relax. The attached master bath features dual sinks, a tiled tub/shower, quality toiletries, and a Tushy bidet toilet for that "hotel luxury" feel at home.

Guest Bedroom & Bunk Room: Perfect for Families & Groups
The bunk room sleeps up to 6 with two twin-over-full beds, complete with custom woodwork and a 65" smart TV. A foosball table keeps everyone entertained during downtime. Baseboard heating on a thermostat ensures cozy nights. The second full bathroom has a tiled tub/shower, quality shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and another Tushy bidet toilet.

KITCHEN & DINING: COFFEE LOVER'S DREAM MEETS CHEF'S PLAYGROUND

The fully equipped kitchen is a revelation. Espresso lovers will appreciate the Nespresso machine stocked with pods and syrups. Coffee drinkers have options: Keurig with pods, drip coffee maker, French press, and tea kettle. We provide basic staples (flour, sugar, oil, spices) so you can actually cook—not just reheat.

Cooking Setup: 5-burner gas stove, toaster oven, microwave, crockpot, and plenty of quality gadgets. Custom steel countertops and generous pantry space make meal prep a pleasure, not a squeeze. Electric fireplace-look heater and portable AC (warm months) keep the space comfortable year-round.

Dining Options: Seat 6 at the primary dining table, with expandable leaves stored in the master closet for larger groups. Three bar stools provide casual seating. Those French doors? They frame the red cliffs beyond—breakfast with a view is the minimum expectation here.

The large deck includes unobstructed views of the beautiful red cliffs, outdoor dining table, a propane grill (propane provided), and easy access to the grounds. The highlight is the custom-built fire pit with firewood, fire starters, and lighter provided—designed for genuine evenings under the stars, not an afterthought.

The hot tub near the fire pit adds a luxurious touch perfect for evening soaks. You'll also find a small fire pit nearby if you want a more intimate gathering. Cornhole outside the bunk room offers laid-back entertainment. The 130-year-old barn (shared space, next to the host's residence) has ping pong and hockey equipment available—feel free to switch between them based on your group's mood.

Parking: Ample space for up to 4 vehicles directly in front of the property.

The property backs onto public land with direct trail access to the stunning red cliff formations—hiking, mountain biking, and exploration are steps away. Durango itself is a vibrant mountain town known for outdoor recreation, locally-owned restaurants, craft breweries, and genuine Western culture.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

The ping pong/hockey barn is a shared space with the host's property next door—we have never had a timing conflict, but just be aware you may see other people in passing. We ask that you park a maximum of 4 vehicles on the property; additional vehicles need pre-approval. Public land and red cliff areas behind the property are open to exploration, but climbing is strongly discouraged for safety reasons. (We are experience climbers, and we promise, the cliffs are not safe for climbing.)

Guests have access to the entire house, hot tub, fire pit, and parking area directly in front of the house. You are welcome to use the ping pong or hockey equipment in the barn, but be aware that this is a shared space, and you may have to set up your preferred activity. You can also explore any of the public land and red cliffs behind the property.

We live on the property next door and are almost always available to assist with anything that you might need during your stay, especially if you'd like recommendations about local activities.

Only 20 minutes from Purgatory and 5 minutes from town, you're close enough to grocery stores to make a quick run before dinner, but far enough out of town to really feel like you're in the mountains. You can easily get to skiing, beautiful hikes, mountain biking, and even backcountry skiing or ice climbing, and still make it downtown for dinner at one of our many restaurants.

You'll want a car in Durango, but there is the Durango Transit bus downtown for $1 per trip. There's also a shuttle to Purgatory Ski Resort that departs downtown for $10 per roundtrip. Finally, there's the historic 1890 Durango Silverton Railroad, that everyone should do at least once!

There is room to park a maximum of four vehicles next to the property. We will ask you to remove any additional vehicles if they were not pre-approved.
